Kirishima-Kinkowan National Park
One of the first national parks established in Japan, this park sits on both sides of the border between Miyazaki and Kagoshima prefecture. A place which eases the daily strain with its plentiful ocean and volcanic hot springs.
You can enjoy a vast variety of plant and animal life here, including migratory birds. This unique ecosystem was created by the continuous volcanic activity in the area and countless climate changes.
The Ebino Plateau in the northern area of the park is famous for Miyama-kirishima(A type of azalea) in spring and autumn leaves in autumn.
