Kojima Island

An uninhabited island with a circumference of around 3.5 km, which is home to around 100 Nihonzaru (Japanese monkeys). These monkeys are designated as a natural monument by the Japanese government and are known as “Bunka-zaru (cultured monkeys)” for their unique behaviour of washing potatoes in sea water and swimming in the ocean for pleasure. Enjoy a relaxing time with these monkeys living a carefree life while enjoying a comfortable sea breeze.
