Osuzu mountain is included in the top 200 mountains of Japan. The numerous waterfalls found along Amacha valley, Bou Valley and Yatogi Valley located at the top of the Nanuki River, is the only waterfall area designated as a scenic spot by the Japanese government.

The Yatogi Waterfall which is selected in the top 100 waterfalls of Japan, is a must see spot if you are going to enjoy Osuzu Mountain. You are sure to be soothed by the pristine air and roaring sound of water. Emperor Jinmu is said to have sharpened his arrows here, before embarking on his eastward campaign, which is the origin of the name Yatogi.
